What to expect
Welcome to the action in real patients!
The Advanced Prostho Level 3 is a program set for those that want to expand and update their evidence-based prosthodontics, having at the same time a strong and advanced practical training not only in dummies as in real patients.
This course is set in a blended-learning format offering 20 hours of advanced online theoretical knowledge + onsite modules - 23 & 24 June / 7 & 8 July - in an extra 48 hours of practical training.
After the course you will be included as a member of our exclusive Advanced Prostho Community and your evolution will be continuously supported by the #iadlisbon prosthodontic team.
N.B.:
- Limited to a maximum of 6 participants!
- Please contact us if you are not registered in the Portuguese Dental Association.
- you can apply to the Advanced Prostho level 3, even if you didn't go through the other levels. Although we recommend you do so, it is not a pre-condition to enroll.
Main objectives
The main objective of this course is to provide all the theoretical and technical tools so that participants can achieve success and predictability in all cases of aesthetic and functional rehabilitation, regardless of their complexity. We want you to be prepared for every situation!!
If you choose to attend the Advanced Prostho Level 3, you will experience the digital dentistry at the highest level, applied to the selected clinical cases, in a broader way: from intra-oral scanners and 4D dynamic diagnostic evaluation to the actual design and CAD-CAM fabrication.
At the end of this program, you will be able to:
- Diagnose every clinical case from the biological, biomechanical and esthetical point of view
- Identify all the risk factors in every case before starting the treatment
- Be able to plan a treatment and its correspondent strategy of treatment
- Control all the digital workflow, from the intra-oral scanner to the planning and design
- Know how to do a preparation for veneers, overlays, veneerlays and crowns
- Securely address rehabilitations with a change of vertical dimension
- Communicate with the laboratory in a predictable way
- Understand and integrate other specialties in a multidisciplinary approach
- Set the correct timing for each clinical act and plan a good patient experience
Course Setup
- 24h of clinical practice of veneer cases in real patients
- 12h of hands-on in dummies: all types of preps, dental photography, intra-oral scanner
- 12h of onsite training on diagnosis and advanced treatment planning
- 10h of online classes with Dr. João Borges on new scientific knowledge and clinical cases presentation
- 10h of online presentations with 5 different guest speakers on multidisciplinary topics
